How does it work?

Online therapy is provided in much the same way as if you were to attend an appointment in our Mornington office. Using secure (HIPAA compliant) video conferencing software you will be able to interact similarly with your online psychologist, to how you would in person. Stirling Connections will email you everything you need prior to your appointment with your psychologist online. You can find out more about how online therapy works by clicking on the "How it Works" link below which will take you to a short 1 minute video.

How It Works

OR

  1. Have been affected by the Australian bushfires (you do not require a referral in this instance)

Better Access Bushfire Recovery Telehealth Initiative

Did you know that if you have been affected by the Australian bushfires you can get Medicare benefits for up to 10 psychology treatment services.

If you live in a rural or remote area you can access online psychology counselling if

• you or your family have been impacted by the 2019-20 bushfires

• you’re a first responder or emergency management employee or volunteer who worked during the 2019-20 bushfires.

You don’t need to have a diagnosed mental health condition, GP referral or mental health treatment plan. All you need to do is book an appointment for online therapy.

Only clients who are living in regional or rural areas will be able to access a rebate for online psychology/ telehealth/ video call sessions. To check if you live in a designated rural, remote or very remote area (classified as MMM4 to 7 under the Modified Monash Model) and might be eligible to receive Medicare funding for telehealth counselling in Australia please click here.
