Online therapy is provided in much the same way as if you were to attend an appointment with a psychologist in our Mornington office. Using secure (HIPAA compliant) video conferencing software you will be able to interact similarly with your online psychologist, to how you would in person. The team at Stirling will email you everything you need prior to your appointment with your psychologist online.
In 2017 the Australian Government extended Medicare funding for psychological services to include Telehealth (video conference/ online therapy) services for people living in an eligible rural or remote locations.

Did you know that if you have been affected by the Australian bushfires you can get Medicare benefits for up to 10 psychology online therapy sessions if:
• you or your family have been impacted by the 2019-20 bushfires
• you’re a first responder or emergency management employee or volunteer who worked during the 2019-20 bushfires.
You don’t need to have a diagnosed mental health condition, GP referral or mental health treatment plan. All you need to do is book an appointment with one of our online psychologists.
These sessions with your online psychologist are in addition to the 10 psychology sessions available under the existing Better Access Program. So if you have previously seen a psychologist under a Mental Health Treatment Plan you will be able to access a further 10 sessions
