Accredited Practising Dietitians (APD) are recognised allied health professionals that have gone through a minimum of four years’ university study in nutrition and dietetics. Dietetics is the study of how food and nutrition are used to manage or treat health problems. Dietitians are accredited and bound by code of conduct through Dietitians Association of Australia.

Chronic Disease Management

Dietetic therapy for chronic disease management focuses on reducing risk factors such as excessive weight and sedentary lifestyle and improving health outcomes including blood glucose, lipids and blood pressure and nutritional adequacy.  The focus is on achieving immediate clinical improvement as well as maintaining appropriate nutrition for the long term through behaviour change approaches.  

Our experienced Mornington Dietitian can provide support for chronic diseases and eating disorder treatment for the following conditions:

Maternal Nutrition

Medical nutrition therapy in the perinatal stage aims to help mothers achieve a healthy pregnancy, manage nutritional deficiencies, achieve appropriate gestational weight gain and healthy diet for lactation. Our Mornington Dietitian Konsita has many years of experience in maternal nutrition and is currently completing her PHD in this area. 

Individual consults are available for the following conditions:

  • Gestational diabetes
  • PCOS
  • Healthy eating education to support healthy pregnancy, lactation and reduce risk of antenatal depression/ antenatal anxiety and postnatal depression/ postnatal anxiety
  • Weight management antenatal/pre-natal or postnatal/ post partum
  • Appropriate weight gain during pregnancy
  • Manage nutritional deficiencies
  • Food intolerances 
  • Meal planning and food diary assessment

Paediatric Nutrition

Paediatric medical nutrition therapy aims to support healthy growth and development from infancy through to adolescence. Our dietitian helps children and families on the Mornington Peninsula to find effective strategies to improve nutrition, health and wellbeing.  


 Dietetic therapy can help with:

  • Meal planning for optimum growth and development (under or over weight)
  • Bowel issues – constipation, diarrhea, gas and bloating
  • Food allergies and intolerances
  • Management of fussy eating
