Many Australian organisations offer an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) to promote employee wellbeing. EAP is a prevention, early intervention and treatment program designed to enhance the mental health and wellbeing of all employees and their families. EAP programs are funded by organisations as part of their commitment to creating a mentally healthy workforce by enabling their employees and their families to access psychology services.
Organisations that offer their employees EAP services understand the impact mental health can have on individuals, their families, their colleagues and their workplaces. They recognise the social and economic value of prevention and early intervention approaches.

Organisations are increasingly considering the ways they offer support to employees and their families in the transition to parenthood. At Stirling Psychology we are passionate about working with parents in the transition to parenthood. We recognise that whilst this is one of the most stressful transitions individuals and couples experience, it is also a time of high motivation and commitment to change. Many organisations recognise how supporting employees during this transition has a positive impact on their ability to attract and retain highly skilled professionals. In addition, a preventative approach is paramount to reducing the likelihood that mothers and fathers will experience post-natal depression.
If you are considering establishing an EAP program, our team will meet with you to get an understanding of your organisations needs and tailor a program that may include access to individual psychological treatment, couples therapy, group programs, workshops, and/or retreats. We recognise the unique needs of different organisations. Your team may be based locally on the Mornington Peninsula and want to access treatment at our Mornington office or may require the flexibility of online Employee Assistance Program services. We will work with you to establish the most suitable program based on your organisations priority areas and budget.
